Travel tips

Walk

Why not try out one of Sheffield’s fun and friendly walks all over the city for a wide range of abilities

Cycle

It’s never too late to get back on your push bike or learn to ride  for the first time! Alternatively, Cycling 4 All offer adapted bike riding sessions for those with disabilities. Check out the Sheffield Cycle Map to discover great local places to explore.

Train

When’s the last time you got on a train? You can get 1/3 off the price of normal train fares with your Senior Rail Card

Bus & Tram

To plan a journey you can use timetables, have a look at bus maps, or use the online journey planner. Ensure you’ve got a Senior or Disabled Person’s concessionary pass if you’re entitled to it to make your journeys free.

If buses near you aren’t convenient, why not try the Shopper Bus to take you to your local supermarket or a City Ride  to take you door to door?

Did you know that if you are a jobseeker you may be entitled to half price bus fares on Stagecoach’s BackOnBoard scheme?

Take a look at these Journey Assistance cards to see if any of them would help you when using public transport. You can either print them out, screenshot them, get paper versions from your local interchange customer service desk, or we can send you them.
